Our fundamentals class is one of the most comprehensive in the country we cover all the details and use some of the latest innovations to ensure you have the best possible start in Brazilian jiujitsu.
For blue belts and up, this class breaks down the details to some of the more complicated and intricate guard styles and passing systems as well as takedowns. We put a lot of focus into game planning and linking moves together based on systems and pre meditated reactions.
Our open mat sessions are for members to come together and drill the moves they wish to practice, share ideas, roll together, and just generally explore what ever they wish without the set confines of a normal class.(please note these classes are not instructed).
No gi grappling is a faster more explosive version of jiujitsu without the constraints of a full kimono (gi), this class covers all the details and major key differences and mistakes that practitioners can make while transitioning from gi grappling to no gi grappling.
Wrestling is an important part of grappling, all jiujitsu matches and self defence scenarios start standing up. Clinch fighting, takedowns and throws are covered in detail and practiced. We are fortunate to have one of NZ best wrestling practitioners and teachers Andrei Paulet to show us all the necessary details.
Exclusively tailored for women, a chance for them to cover specific details with the instructor. This class often has a self defense element involved.

The fusing together of both standing based martial arts and ground based martial arts such as boxing, muay thai, brazilian jiujitsu and wrestling give you a base for the fastest growing combat sport in the world, at our facility you can learned and refine these specific disciplines from specialists teachers and experts and then amalgamate them together into mixed martial arts.
